The Independent Karate Schools of America has approved and accepted FMK Karate owner and Master Instructor Frank Kushner into their prestigious “Society of Soke”.

The title of Soke or founder of the system, is the highest title that can be given to a Karate Sensei. The board of Soke, consisting of existing Soke from Los Angeles, California (one of the editors of Black Belt Magazine), Denmark, Wisconsin, and Tennessee, reviewed all material and aspects of Kushner’s FMK-Shotokan-Ryu, and determined it is an independent Karate style, granting Kushner founder and Master – of – style status, Soke, on April 6th, 2009, accompanied by a letter of authenticity and a certificate signed by all the board members.
